We're glad you're here. Seriously.

There's something to fit everyone's schedule in VMF-124. Nothing here is formal. It's all casual. Participate as you're able, and as you like.

The most important thing is that you feel welcome and comfortable in this community.

VMF-124 (Virtual) Death's Head Squadron is a group of people who share a common interest in aviation, history, and computers. Beyond that, we're eclectic in outlook and multinational in composition. Nowhere will you find a more diverse collection of comrades. Simply by joining, you've enriched our society with your fellowship. That's the most important contribution of all.

First, foremost, and always, we are friends.

What We Do 

We fly F4U Corsairs in the air combat simulation called Pacific Fighters created by Oleg Maddox and 1C Games. We focus on flying together, as a squadron, against the computer-generated pilots in what are called multiplayer co-operative missions. While we fly, all the pilots are in two-way voice communication using a free software application called TeamSpeak.

If this sounds pretty cool to you, it is! We've been flying together like this for many years and even we still think it's amazing that a dozen guys living in separate countries like the US, Canada, Britain, and Australia, can talk and fly together in real time.

Whenever you want to fly, you have a home with VMF-124.

How Do You Join?

Simply register on the site. Once you've confirmed your site user registration and logged back into the site, visit our forums and make a post introducing yourself in the "O' Club" topic. That's it. Once we've seen your post, we'll take it from there and give you all the help and info you need to become a member of our virtual squad.
